AGAINST THE WIND WITH DR. PAUL - EPISODE 072 featuring: Dr. Joseph Zanga, MD Specialist in Pediatrics, Past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American College of Pediatricians
In his From the Heart segment, Dr. Paul talks about love and compassion and what can we do when someone is hurting. In a world filled with suffering of all kinds, we have an opportunity to simply be present for those who are in need. While our presence can take many forms, what matters most is that we are showing up.
Dr. Joseph Zanga, MD
I realized when someone is suffering; they need us to be there with them. If you can just be present, get physical contact; if you can appropriate physical contact, hold hands, just touch the person. It is so comforting. And people need love. People need comfort. So, reach out. When you see suffering, be compassionate. I think we're all called to this, and it is just such a beautiful world we live in when we can live in that way.
